Terms
Terms of service.
What you get, what it costs, when ownership transfers, and what each of us is responsible for.
1. What EITRI provides
EITRI provides professional human video editing. You supply raw footage; we return an edited video at the level you selected. Editing is performed by human editors with quality-control review.
2. Requests, approval and orders
Submitting the form on our site is a request, not an order, and creates no obligation on either side. We review each request by hand and may decline it. A contract forms only when we accept the request and confirm the price shown to you at the time of the request.
3. Pay after preview
We complete the full edit before requesting payment. You then receive a private preview of the finished edit. If you choose to pay, ownership transfers to you and the clean master is released. If you choose not to pay, you owe nothing, you receive nothing, and the edit remains ours.
4. The preview licence
The edit remains EITRI's property until payment clears. The preview copy is licensed to you for the sole purpose of reviewing the work. It is watermarked, time-limited and provided at reduced resolution. Publishing, broadcasting, distributing or otherwise making the preview public — including a screen recording of it — is unlicensed use of our copyright work, and we may issue a takedown or copyright claim against that publication.
5. Pricing
Prices are fixed by finished length and editing level and are shown before you send anything. The price quoted at the point of request is the price charged. There are no deposits, no subscriptions and no automatic renewals.
6. Raw footage allowance
Each duration band includes an allowance of raw footage. Raw footage beyond that allowance is charged at $3 per additional minute, identical at every editing level, and is included in the figure quoted to you.
7. Custom quotes
Finished videos over 45 minutes, multi-camera work, documentaries and events are quoted individually. No automatic price applies to them.
8. Delivery and turnaround
Turnaround depends on length, level and current capacity, and is confirmed when we accept the request. The preview link is valid for 48 hours; we will reopen it on request. After payment, the clean master is available for 7 days.
9. Revisions
One revision is included before payment. Requesting it does not release the master and does not create an obligation to pay. Revision scope follows the editing level selected; requests that materially change the agreed brief may be quoted as additional work. Further revisions after payment are quoted separately.
10. Your responsibilities
- You confirm you have the right to use, and to have us edit, everything you send — including music, footage, images and any third-party material.
- You keep your own backup of your original footage. Our copies are deleted on the stated schedule.
- You upload footage through the link we provide, and keep that link private.
- You keep your preview link private, and do not publish the preview.
- You do not send unlawful material.
11. Ownership
You own 100% of your source footage at all times. Ownership of the finished edit transfers to you when payment clears; from that point you may publish it anywhere, indefinitely, including commercially, and EITRI claims no royalties. Before payment clears, the edit is EITRI's property and is licensed to you for review only under clause 4.
12. Confidentiality
Your material is confidential. We do not share it with third parties, use it in our portfolio, post it on social media, use it in advertising, or use it for AI training, without your explicit written permission.
13. Deletion
Source, proxy, project and export files are deleted from our systems on a 10-day policy after a project closes. You may request immediate deletion at any time; we confirm in writing. Because your files live in our storage rather than a folder you own, download your finished video before the deletion window closes.
14. Payment
Payment is due only after you have watched the finished edit and chosen to keep it. Payment is confirmed manually; the master unlocks once it clears. Declining to pay carries no charge, no penalty and no obligation to explain.
15. Cancellation
You may withdraw a request at any time before we accept it, at no cost. Because we complete the work before invoicing, withdrawing after acceptance costs you nothing — you simply do not receive the edit. If we cannot complete a project, we will tell you promptly and refund anything already paid for work not delivered.
16. Limitation of liability
We take care with your material, but you are responsible for maintaining your own backups of original footage. To the extent permitted by law, our liability in connection with a project is limited to the amount paid for that project.
17. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version in force for your project is the version published when we accepted your request.
18. Contact
Questions about these terms go through the contact page. We reply by email.
